In a world where fascination intertwines with the grotesque, Kiri Haimura is an unusual young man entranced by the allure of beautiful hair, and the thrill of cutting it. His peculiar obsession draws him to an old, desolate house, whispered to be the residence of a long-haired specter. Instead of a ghost, he stumbles upon Iwai Mushanokouji, a striking girl known as the "Hair Queen," cursed with hair that defies any attempt to be cut. Iwai is the focal point of a deadly game. If she is killed by a cursed artifact, a "Killing Good," the one who wields it is granted their deepest desire. As Kiri defends Iwai from the "Authors"- the ominous owners of these Killing Goods, he discovers a chilling family secret. A pair of murderous shears, a Killing Good known as "The Severing Crime Edge," has been passed down in his lineage. In a twist of fate, these sinister scissors are the key to liberating Iwai from her hair-based curse, allowing her a chance at a normal life. However, this newfound freedom is fragile. Many Authors are on the prowl, eager to claim the Hair Queen's life. Kiri finds himself thrust into a lethal contest of destiny, where he must wield the Severing Crime Edge to protect Iwai from the bloodthirsty participants of this macabre game.
