The Messengers (2015)

When an unidentified object collides with the Earth, the resulting shock wave causes five strangers to die — but they miraculously find themselves returning to life within hours. Vera doesn't initially know that others shared her experience, but she's dedicated to finding out exactly what happened. Eventually they come to the realization that the five of them have been chosen to avert the apocalypse. A mysterious figure known only as The Man offers to return Vera's son if she works for him. It's an offer she can't refuse, but she can't be certain that her work will save the world when there's a possibility it might doom it.
