In the bustling heart of Tokyo's Nerima district, a somewhat indolent schoolboy named Hiroshi finds himself wrapped in the throes of the everyday. Struggling with schoolwork, tedious chores, and relentless bullies, Hiroshi's life takes a fantastical turn when he stumbles upon Pyonkichi, a lively frog from Shakujii Park, during a scuffle with his tormentors. This misstep transforms the once three-dimensional Pyonkichi into an unorthodox flat frog, his likeness and essence now indelibly etched onto Hiroshi's only well-preserved t-shirt.
With no other option, Hiroshi dons the t-shirt daily, instigating an unusual camaraderie between him and the spirited amphibian. Now, Hiroshi's every moment is accompanied by the dynamic Pyonkichi, who exercises total dominion over the t-shirt, defying Hiroshi's intentions with his whimsical movements. This extraordinary twist of fate intertwines their lives, leading to a captivating journey of friendship and the unexpected.
