Plot

In the whimsical, fabricated town of New Burbage, an infamous theatrical genius, Geoffrey Tennant, finds himself returning to the New Burbage Theatre Festival. This is the very stage of his past glory and ignominious defeat. His unexpected return is prompted by the abrupt demise of his mentor, Oliver Welles, which leaves behind a vacant role of an artistic director. Upon his arrival, Geoffrey soon discovers Oliver's spirit lingers, guiding him through the challenges that lie ahead. Despite Oliver's guidance, and often against it, Geoffrey is thrust into a battle with his history as he passionately fights to reclaim the festival from the clutches of the commercial-minded marketing department. Amidst a resentful leading lady, an oblivious leading man, and a manipulative general manager, Geoffrey miraculously pulls off a stunning rendition of Hamlet - the very play that once tipped him into madness.
