Science Ninja Team Gatchaman (1972)

In the dawn of the 21st century, Earth finds itself in the crosshairs of the sinister terrorist organization, Galactor. Armed with highly advanced war machines and monstrous biological weapons, Galactor carves a path of chaos and destruction across the globe, leaving the world's forces reeling in their wake. As the United Nations grapples with the rising terror, an unlikely savior emerges from the shadows - Professor Nambu of the International Science Organization, and his secret weapon: the Science Ninja Team. This team, inspired by the grace and ferocity of birds, is a band of dynamic young warriors with exceptional agility and combat prowess, equipped to challenge any enemy, regardless of the odds. The team consists of Ken, the stalwart leader known as Gatchaman, who commands respect with his noble spirit and enigmatic past; Jô, the fiery, impulsive second-in-command who excels in electronics and demolitions; Jun, the brave and impetuous Swan, skilled in reconnaissance; Jinpei, the Swallow, a descendant of the ancient Iga ninja and Jun's adopted brother; and Ryû, the jovial, rotund Owl, who serves as their skilled pilot. These young heroes traverse land, sea, and air in their advanced personal vehicles, all housed within their main vessel, the God Phoenix. This incredible aircraft, armed to the teeth and capable of supersonic speeds, can transform into a flaming phoenix, symbolizing rebirth and resilience in the face of imminent danger. But the road ahead is treacherous. Galactor's elusive leaders, the enigmatic entity known as Sôsai X, and his human subordinate, Berugu Katse, harbor secrets shrouded in shadows. As the Science Ninja Team races to thwart Galactor's insidious plans, they must also unravel these hidden truths that could change the course of their battle - and the fate of Earth - forever.
