In the wake of a devastating plane crash that claims the lives of his parents, teenage Ryuuichi Kashima finds himself thrust into an unexpected role as the guardian for his younger brother, Kotarou. Ryuuichi, despite his youth, manages to remain a beacon of kindness and understanding, while little Kotarou, still too tender to comprehend their situation, remains a quiet presence by his side. As they navigate their parents' funeral, they encounter the steely gaze of Youko Morinomiya, the formidable chairwoman of a prestigious academy who offers them a lifeline of support.
