In a world of ordinary life and mundane routine, Kamina Ayato, a typical schoolboy living with his mother, finds his existence violently disrupted. His city, Tokyo, becomes a battlefield for colossal machines called Dolem, that wield their sonorous destruction, turning harmony into havoc. Amidst this chaos, Ayato crosses paths with the enigmatic Mishima Reika, a girl who introduces him to a dormant giant, the RahXephon. RahXephon, a humanoid of unimaginable power, awakens to counter the Dolem's menacing cacophony. As Ayato synchronises with this ancient titan, he is transported beyond the confines of his beloved city, revealing a startling truth. Tokyo, under the alias of Tokyo Jupiter, is an isolated sanctuary, severed from the rest of the world. Its inhabitants live under the illusion that they are the last vestiges of humanity, oblivious to the puppet strings manipulated by the Mu. Unveiling a world obscured by the Mu's deceptive veil, Ayato is thrust into a new reality, where he plays a pivotal role in humanity's fate. Now, he must reconcile with his newfound truths and his role as mankind's unexpected savior.
