Plot
Jesse Custer returns to his hometown to assume the leadership of his dead father's old church. The new preacher is suddenly possessed by a being that grants Jesse godly powers. There are others that want the power for themselves. God, Satan, and various angels have their own agenda, but Jesse's biggest obstacle may be an inbred descendant of Jesus himself. With the help of his friend Tulip and a thousand-year-old vampire named Cassidy, Jesse sets out to save the world.
