In the vibrant tapestry of life, three distinct women in their thirties - María, Cris, and Esther - find themselves on the precipice of adulthood, believing they've firmly stepped into their forever selves. However, life, in its whimsical fashion, has a different plan. In the aftermath, María seeks solace in her sister Esther's unconventional world, a lesbian artist with a knack for prescribing her unique "crisis medication". This leads María down a path of hilarious misadventures, landing her at a children's birthday party, high as a kite. The party is hosted by her best friend Cris, who is grappling with her own secret life and a crumbling marriage to Pablo.
In a surreal twist, María finds herself entangled in a passionate encounter with a gentle, yet simple-minded janitor, in the middle of a children's bouncy castle. This unexpected liaison leads to an unplanned pregnancy, serving as the catalyst for María's journey of letting go of her rigid life plans, and instead, embracing the unpredictable currents of existence.
