In the heartwarming and humor-filled world of "Packed to the Rafters," we meet electrician Dave Rafter and his wife Julie, a couple teetering on the precipice of a new, quieter life as their children transition into adulthood. Anticipating an empty nest on the eve of their twenty-fifth wedding anniversary, the Rafter household instead becomes a magnet for their adult children, drawing them back in like an irresistible boomerang, each one carrying a suitcase full of idiosyncrasies and unexpected challenges. Their son Ben, with dreams big and ambition larger, finds himself tethered to the family home, raiding the fridge, dropping laundry, and seeking counsel even as he steps into adult life with his buddy and neighbor Carbo. The Rafters' daughter, Rachel, a whirlwind of chaos and unfulfilled potential, navigates life with a trail of unfinished endeavors in her wake, her path inevitably leading back home. Meanwhile, their youngest, Nathan, manages to secure a promising job in real estate and a wealthy, devoted partner, only to be hit by the curveballs of life, pushing him back into the welcoming arms of the Rafter household.
