Mozart in the Jungle (2014)

The life of musicians in the New York Symphony is both more thrilling and more scandalous than you might have ever imagined. Hailey Rutledge's only dream has been to perform as an oboist with the New York Symphony, but she immediately finds a rival in the form of veteran Betty Cragdale and also discovers that politics have as much to do with success as actual talent with an instrument. When the bash and arrogant young Rodrigo De Souza is assigned the position of new conductor, it shakes up the static hierarchy existing within the symphony and complicates the lives of everyone.
