In the mighty realm of the Wahrheit Empire, two young souls stand on the precipice of change. Inumael, a bashful transporter who has left the familiarity of home and the warmth of his sister's presence to seek a new life in the capital city, and Leocadio, an innocent, newly-inducted soldier, consumed by dreams of his military future in the imperial city. A dark shadow, however, looms over the Empire; a chilling echo from the past when countless lives were snuffed out from existence. The feared return of the "light" – a catastrophic event that once beckoned a monstrous beast into their world – casts a dreadful pallor over the spirits of the remaining populace. Amid this despair, an unexpected incident involving weapon smuggling heralds a drastic shift in the destiny of Inumael and Leocadio, and indeed, the entire history of the Empire itself. As the looming darkness threatens to resurface, the intertwined fates of these two young men will be forever altered, setting in motion a chain of events that will ripple through the annals of the Empire.
