In an age beyond our own, the Earth is inhabited by a unique, immortal and genderless species known as the Gems. Numbering 28, these sentient jewels are locked in a perpetual struggle with the Lunarians, mysterious beings who relentlessly raid the Earth, seeking to transform the Gems into alluring ornaments. Each Gem bears a distinctive role, from warriors to healers, their existence dictated by their abilities. Our tale centers around Phosphophyllite, the fledgling Gem, just 300 years young and yearning for purpose. Despite their earnest desire to aid in the resistance against the Moon Dwellers, their delicate and fragile nature renders them unsuited for combat. One day, under the watchful eye of their master, the formidable Kongou (Adamantine), they are entrusted with an unusual mission: to compile an encyclopedia of natural history. This assignment triggers the beginning of Phosphophyllite's unique journey in this world where resilience and beauty exist in delicate balance.
