In a world where the sea commands respect and protection, a unique group of women known as the Blue Mermaid are trained to navigate its vast expanse, operating navy warships to uphold international peace and manage maritime calamities. Among them is a 15-year-old girl, Misaki Akeno, whose dreams are as deep as the ocean she yearns to explore. Enrolled at the esteemed Yokosuka Girls High School, she finds herself at the helm of the Harekaze as its captain, leading a crew of her classmates. Their maiden voyage, however, is marked not by smooth sailing but by tumultuous waters. On their very first day, they are unexpectedly ambushed by their instructor's ship, pushing them into a corner where the only option is to fight back. This defensive act spirals out of control, leading to them being pursued by authorities for mutiny. However, the storm is far from over. The waters grow murkier as a wave of mutinies sweep across other school ships, creating a whirlpool of uncertainty and danger. Now fugitives, Misaki and her crew must not only navigate the perils of their quest for survival but also unravel the mystery behind these unsettling events. Their journey is one of high seas and high stakes, a thrilling nautical adventure where every horizon brings a new challenge.
