Plot
As a veteran Portland homicide detective, Nick Burkhardt has seen more traumatic and unsettling things than most people, but his heritage is going to open him up to a whole new world of strangeness. Nick discovers that he has the power to see the supernatural creatures that roam our world undercover. Representing creatures from mythology and fairy tales, these creatures often stalk us but are also simply trying to survive among out world. With the help of his friends, colleagues, and an ally who turns out to be a reformed version of the Big Bad Wolf, Nick sets out to protect humanity from the monsters it can't see.
