In the mystical realm where dragons rule the skies, humans known as breeders forge bonds with these majestic beasts. The Ansarivan Dragonar Academy is where breeders, graced with the mark of Seikoku, or star brand, learn to tame and ride their dragon companions. Amongst these aspiring dragon masters is Ash Blake, a first-year student with an unusually large star brand. Yet, despite this promising sign, his dragon remains mysteriously absent, earning him the title of "problem child" among his peers. Ash's life takes an unexpected turn during a daring dragon race against the formidable princess, Silvia Lautreamont. As if responding to the thrill of the challenge, Ash's dragon finally emerges. But, it's not as the mighty beast one would expect. Instead, his dragon materializes in the enchanting form of a girl, unlike any dragon seen before. Naming her Eco, Ash soon realizes that she is as feisty as she is beautiful, quickly asserting herself as the master and him, the servant. With Eco's arrival, Ash's trials at the academy escalate, and his journey into the complex world of dragon riding truly begins.
