Plot
The Twelve Colonies of humans and the Cylons, the race of robots they created, have had an uneasy peace for 40 years when the Cylons launch a sudden attack that wipes out nearly all human life. Among the few survivors are those aboard the Battlestar Galactica, a ship that was set to be decommissioned. Commander Adama and President Laura Roslin, formerly the Secretary of Education until the destruction of the executive branch and the Cabinet, are now in charge of all that is left of humanity as they flee their Cylon attackers and struggle to stay alive.
