In the fortress-like realm of Flandore, humanity is trapped under vast glass domes, shielding them from the ravenous monsters beyond. Here, societal prestige is tethered to the mastery of magical abilities: the greater your magic, the higher your nobility. Born to aristocracy yet devoid of any magical prowess, Melida Angel is an anomaly, a paradox in the social order. This anomaly prompts the dispatch of Kufa Vampir, a cold and disciplined assassin, to scrutinize her circumstances and, if necessary, eliminate her. As Kufa delves into Melida's story, he uncovers a clandestine affair between her mother and a non-magical commoner, resulting in Melida's magic-less existence. Despite the daily battle for acceptance, Melida remains a beacon of joy and kindness, yearning to justify her place in her noble lineage. Kufa, usually unyielding and grim, finds his heart softened by her struggle. Consequently, he becomes her clandestine magic tutor, surreptitiously transferring his magic to her, and thereby defying his original mission. By choosing to preserve Melida's life, Kufa embarks on a perilous endeavor to shield her from Flandore's judgment. He weaves a treacherous web of secrecy, placing himself and Melida at the center of a dangerous game, adding a layer of thrill to the world hidden under the glass barriers of Flandore.
