American Gods (2017)

Shadow has only just been released from prison when he gets the news that his wife had died while cheating on him with his best friend. Shadow had been dreaming of nothing other than reuniting with her, but his trip to the funeral is interrupted by a mysterious man called Mr. Wednesday who knows a suspicious amount of Shadow's history. But with little to lose, Shadow decides to take Mr. Wednesday up on his job offer. He finds himself tangled up in a war between the old gods of blood and sacrifice and the new gods of circuits and electricity.
