Plot

In the bustling heart of Kolkata, the lives of three distinct men converge in an intricate dance of ambition, idealism, and raw survival. Arjun Balchandran, a laid-back opportunist, luxuriates in a life of wealth and comfort, his heart enamoured by the lovely Mira and his mind set towards the shimmering promise of the United States. A chance encounter with the impassioned Michael Mukherjee, who was also on the cusp of American shores, reroutes both their paths. Michael, an idealistic youth leader, dreams of youth-sparked revolution, a better India rising from the ashes of corruption. Their common adversary is the unscrupulous politician, Prosonjit Bhattacharya, who has a vice-like grip on college and university elections. A third player enters this deadly game of power and principles: Lallan, a brutish goon, a juggernaut of violence uprooted from Uttar Pradesh and now firmly entrenched in Kolkata's murky underworld. Employed by Prosonjit, Lallan is a terrifying force, endorsed by ruling party politicians, wielding terror and death with chilling efficiency. His life is further complicated by his marriage to Sashi, a love that adds another layer to his already complex existence. Watch as the paths of these three men intertwine in a dramatic tapestry of chaos and consequence, their lives changed irrevocably by a murder attempt and a startling accident on the iconic Hooghly bridge. Yuva is a riveting exploration of the clashing ideals, personal ambitions, and the violence that lurks in the shadows of political machinations. This film keeps you on the edge of your seat, pondering the nature of power, the price of dreams, and the human capacity for change.
