In the heart of the holiday season, Emma, a gifted designer with a knack for handcrafting unique goods, is swept up in a whirlwind of Christmas fervor. Her boutique, co-managed with her partner Liz, becomes a hive of activity as they orchestrate a Christmas Eve showcase for local artisans. Their ambitious project garners the attention of Kate Marguiles, a renowned design maven and television personality, who offers to sponsor their event, promising a level of grandeur their humble shop has never witnessed. Torn between this golden opportunity and the yuletide, a season cherished by her late mother, Emma reluctantly decides to skip Christmas with her estranged military father, affectionately known as The General. She plunges headfirst into the event planning, breaking the news to The General that she won't be home for their traditional festive celebrations. Meanwhile, Aaron, Emma's childhood sweetheart and ex-boyfriend, returns home from military service to find Emma absent from their usual Christmas traditions.
