You Lucky Dog (2010)

In the heart of the countryside, Jim Rayborn tirelessly toils on his father Clay's farm, shadowed by the constant disagreement over their choice of livestock. The land, kissed by a warmer climate and blanketed in short grasses, seems destined for sheep rather than cattle. However, Clay's stubbornness stands as an immovable mountain in the path of progress. The quiet rhythm of their lives is disrupted by the return of Lisa, Jim's sister, from New York for their mother's funeral. An air of mystery shrouds Lisa's sudden reappearance, as Jim discovers her glamorous fashion career is nothing but a woven tapestry of lies. In her wake, Lisa brings an unexpected guest to the farm, a young sheepdog named Lucky, initially scorned by Jim for its supposed high expense. Yet, Lucky's arrival is not a mere whim, but a tribute to their nature-loving mother who once co-managed the nearby pond with the local vet, Don.
