Freed from the iron shackles of his twenty-year imprisonment, the infamous pirate, Yellowbeard (Graham Chapman), once again tastes the sweet nectar of liberty. His mind, however, is not on freedom but on an immense treasure he had concealed years ago. This quest for gold summons him to reassemble his faithful crew, a motley group of grizzled sea-dogs. To his surprise, he also finds himself accompanied by an unexpected ally - his prodigal son, an intellectual who has no desire to dip his hands into his father's murky dealings.
