X-Men (2000)

A newly evolved species of humans born with a genetic “X-Factor” possess incredible superpowers of different varieties. The rest of humanity fears these “mutants,” but Professor Charles Xavier creates a special institute to educate and integrate the mutants as beneficial members of society. However, another powerful mutant, Magneto, favors a plan to maneuver the mutant race into a world-dominant position. In the meantime, a high-ranking U.S. Senator is plotting against the mutants for his own complicated agenda. As tension mounts between various factions, the mutant youths will unleash their superhuman gifts to fight for good, themselves and a peaceful world.
