Plot

In the adrenaline-fueled world of WWE, Hell in a Cell 2013 was a seismic event. The stage was set for a fiery showdown between Daniel Bryan and Randy Orton for the vacant WWE Championship. Bryan's triumph over John Cena at SummerSlam was short-lived when he was betrayed by special referee Triple H, allowing Orton to swoop in and seize the championship. Their rematch at Night of Champions had a controversial ending, plunging the title into a state of limbo. All roads led to Hell in a Cell, where Bryan and Orton clashed again, this time with the audience selecting WWE Hall of Famer, Shawn Michaels as the referee. Simultaneously, a parallel feud erupted as CM Punk went head-to-head with Paul Heyman and his roster of wrestling clients. Betrayed by Heyman at the Money in the Bank pay-per-view, Punk found himself against Brock Lesnar, and later Curtis Axel, both times ending in chaos. As the newest member of Heyman's clan, Ryback faced Punk at Battleground, but suffered defeat, leading to a rematch at Hell in a Cell. In an unexpected twist, general manager Brad Maddox introduced a "beat the clock" contest between Punk and Ryback, with the winner choosing the rules for their Hell in a Cell match. Punk's victory saw him adding Heyman to the match, turning it into a Hell in a Cell match. Thus, the stage was set for a night that promised a whirlwind of high-stakes battles and relentless determination, as both old scores were set to be settled and new rivalries ignited in the WWE Hell in a Cell 2013.
