Wrestlemaniac (2006)

In the heart of Mexico, a motley crew of filmmakers embarks on a journey in search of the perfect location for their low-budget adult film. Alphonse, the ambitious first-time director, leads his team - Steve, Dallas, Debbie, the hard-drinking Daisy, and the perpetually stoned Jimbo - through the rugged landscapes. However, the road less traveled proves treacherous, and they soon find themselves lost and stranded at a remote gas station, devoid of fuel. The crew encounters a stranger who offers them directions to the nearest gas station but warns them about the eerie ghost town of La Sangre de Dios. Ignoring the stranger's cautionary tales, Steve recalls a chilling legend about the town. It was once home to the greatest Mexican wrestler, El Mascarado, who, driven to madness, began a brutal killing spree and was banished to this desolate place. Intrigued by the tale and the town's grim aesthetic, Alphonse decides to gamble with fate and film their project in the town's abandoned bar. No sooner do they trespass into La Sangre de Dios than they realize that some legends are more than just tales spun from the threads of fear. The call of "Action!" awakens the dormant madness of El Mascarado, now a deranged Luchador, who springs into a deadly game of his own. As the once bustling set descends into a bloodbath, with cast and crew snatched away into the shadows one by one, the survivors find themselves in a desperate race against time. They must unravel the twisted mind of the wrestler and outsmart him at his own lethal game. The stakes are high, and the only other option is a grisly death. Their journey into the heart of Mexico becomes a chilling fight for survival in a town haunted by a legend soaked in blood.
