Johnson High School in Huntsville, Alabama, a school with a notorious reputation on the state's failing list. Here, four young men — Jailen, Jamario, Teague, and Jaquan — grapple not only with their opponents in the ring, but also with the harsh realities of life outside it. Guided by their tenacious coach and teacher, Chris Scribner, these teammates wrestle with adversities more daunting than any State Championship: fragmented families, substance abuse, teenage pregnancy, battles with mental health, and legal entanglements. These obstacles threaten to pin them down, closing the doors that their wrestling victories might have opened. Yet, the struggle isn't limited to the boys alone.
