In the heart of New York City, the prestigious McGuire's Department Store stands as a monument to a 95-year-old Christmas tradition - the mesmerizing window displays that light up the city. This year, the tradition teeters on the brink of extinction as Miss T. Jeffers, the seasoned designer responsible for two decades of visual marvels, abandons her post, leaving only Sloan Van Doren and Jake Dooley in her wake. Sloan, a meticulous and driven woman with an expensive academic background and a high society boyfriend, Kenneth, is determined to uphold the artistic legacy. Jake, on the other hand, is a happy-go-lucky charmer, armed with an undeniable talent for design and a knack for skating through life. With no time to secure an experienced replacement, Fitch, the store manager, devises a contest. Sloan and Jake are each given a display window to adorn with their creativity, changing it once a week until Christmas. The one who lures in the most customers will become the successor to Miss Jeffers.
