Plot

In the chilling mystery of "White Noise," we journey with Jonathan Rivers, a successful architect, as he grapples with the abrupt and tragic loss of his wife, Anna Rivers, a renowned author. Her car is discovered next to a river, leading to the conclusion that she fell in while changing a flat tire. Anna's body resurfaces weeks later, merely confirming the initial theory of an accidental death. As Jonathan mourns, he is approached by Raymond Price, a man claiming to be a conduit for messages from the afterlife. The skeptical widower finds himself reluctantly drawn into the realm of Electronic Voice Phenomena (EVP)—the purported communication with the deceased through electronic devices. Raymond insists that Anna is desperately trying to reach Jonathan from beyond the grave and as proof, he offers up static-filled recordings. Intrigued and desperate for closure, Jonathan aligns himself with Sarah Tate, another grieving individual seeking solace in Raymond's peculiar services. In the hazy echoes and snowy television screens, they begin to discern what they believe are messages from their departed loved ones. Jonathan becomes increasingly consumed by the EVP, as he deciphers more and more enigmatic transmissions, believing them to be from Anna. However, Jonathan's obsession with the beyond takes a sinister turn as he uncovers a possible ulterior motive behind Anna's spectral messages—warnings of impending dangers. The architect finds himself torn between his desire to maintain contact with his late wife and the growing apprehension that his dabbling in EVP could be inviting perilous forces into his life. As Jonathan teeters on the edge, he must make a choice. Will he continue his spectral conversations and potentially prevent calamities, or sever the ethereal connection to protect his own life? His decision will lead him to confront eerie entities that disapprove of his meddling with their destructive plans. "White Noise" is a captivating exploration of grief, obsession, and the chilling possibilities of the unknown.
