Abby Turner, a brilliant and stunning woman, enjoys her position as the lead Internet security designer at the prestigious Custodis Systems, New York City. She has crafted Forsecure, a pioneering computer security system deployed by leading banks. Her world, however, disintegrates when her seemingly flawless boyfriend, Josh Lawson, is killed in a horrifying car explosion right outside her apartment. Abby's grief transforms into shock when FBI Agents Kathie Anderson and Danny Wilcox reveal that they had been tracking Josh, real name Jarod Leary, a notorious computer hacker with a criminal history of fraud and grand larceny. Jarod was infamous for his charm, using it to beguile bank executives, pilfer their codes, and hack into their systems to embezzle money. The agents suspect that Jarod was attempting to exploit Abby and her security system, Forsecure, to orchestrate a colossal theft. Abby is warned that she could be the next target, should this mysterious accomplice deem her privy to too much information. In a shocking turn of events, Abby finds that Jarod had breached her personal computer, framing her for his clandestine activities. Determined to safeguard her reputation and protect her boss, Mike Brobin, from any potential fallout, Abby decides to delve into Jarod's dark world. She endeavors to unravel his master plan and ascertain if he managed to execute any grand theft before his death. As Abby navigates through this dangerous labyrinth of deception, she stumbles upon Jarod's associates, both unaware and complicit. Torn between trust and suspicion, Abby must rely on her sharp intellect and analytical prowess, while also practicing her own brand of deception.
