Plot

In the heart of the hustle and bustle of 1930s city life, Ginger Stewart and Dixie Tilton are two ambitious gold-diggers turned process servers, working for the bumbling and eccentric lawyer, Homer Bronson. Bronson is a peculiar character with a penchant for breach-of-promise suits and puzzles, though he shows little mastery in either. Despite their aspirations of wealth, Ginger and Dixie find themselves tangled in the administrative web of Bronson's peculiar legal practices. One day, Ginger's heart is stolen by a man named Carter, whom she meets on a park bench. She's charmed by his humble demeanor and believes him to be a chauffeur, blissfully unaware of his true identity. Carter is, in reality, C. Richard Courtney, a wealthy playboy with a reputation for dodging breach-of-promise suits with agility and finesse. In a twist of fate, Ginger and Dixie are offered a grand sum of a thousand dollars to serve four subpoenas in a suit against the elusive and affluent C. Richard Courtney. Little do they know, their professional and personal lives are about to collide in a whirlwind of mistaken identity, love, and legal intrigue. As they chase after the enigmatic Mr. Courtney, they're unaware that he's the same man who's already captured Ginger's heart. This captivating tale combines romance, comedy, and a dash of mystery, leaving viewers to wonder: Will Ginger uncover Carter's true identity before it's too late?
