Plot

In the heart-rending tale of Virginity (1937), we meet Hana, a striking young beauty, who is ruthlessly cast onto the unforgiving streets when her mother discovers her stepfather's vile intentions towards her. Struggling to survive, Hana secures employment at a local café, where she unwittingly becomes the tantalizing target of her new employer's lecherous gaze and the male clientele's crude advances. Hana, still bearing the emotional scars from her past experiences with men, vehemently rejects their lavish presents and unsolicited propositions. However, Hana's icy exterior begins to thaw when she crosses paths with the youthful and talented composer, Pavel. A tender romance blossoms between them, but their happiness is short-lived as Pavel succumbs to a grave illness. His only hope lies in a costly medical treatment that is far beyond their means. At this crossroads, Hana contemplates a drastic decision - to accept a repugnant proposal from one of her admirers to raise funds for Pavel's lifesaving treatment. Virginity (1937) is a poignant exploration of a young woman's struggle between love, dignity, and survival.
