Plot

In the shadowy underbelly of post-war dissent, undercover journalist Ann Mason infiltrates a burgeoning neo-fascist group. This organization lures disillusioned war veterans with a potent cocktail of paranoia and populism, painting both labor and management as formidable foes. Rising through the ranks, Ann becomes the personal secretary to the silver-tongued ringleader, True Dawson, a puppet master who manipulates the group's funds and manpower for his own dark agenda. Fred Stalk, Dawson's enforcer, grows suspicious of Ann's intentions. However, his attraction towards her and an absence of concrete proof keep him from taking action. As Ann weaves her way deeper into the web of conspiracy, her exposé hangs in the balance. A thrilling chase ensues when government agent Steve Fuller tails Ann's taxi, culminating in a crash that leaves Ann with a concussion and a blank slate for a memory. Seizing this unexpected chance, Fuller poses as her fiancé, worming his way into the heart of the malevolent racket. As Ann tries to piece together her shattered past amidst a storm of deception and danger, the audience is left on the edge of their seat, wondering who can truly be trusted.
