Plot

Set against the gritty backdrop of Oslo's underbelly, Uno spins the tale of David, a twenty-five-year-old ensnared in the labyrinth of life's perils. Trapped in the gritty world of small-time crime, David's existence revolves around a gym that is a haven for petty offenders, which offers a refuge from his tumultuous home life. His father's life is slowly ebbing away to a terminal illness, his brother requires special care due to his mental disability, and he finds himself at odds with his grieving mother. Crisis strikes when the gym, his sanctuary, falls under police scrutiny, and David is confronted with a painful choice. In the desperate hope of a last farewell to his dying father, he turns his back on his comrades, betraying their trust. His decision comes too late and his world crumbles. His father's death plunges his mother into inconsolable grief, and he finds himself burdened with his brother's care while fending off the wrath of his betrayed friends. David's life, stripped to the bone, forces him to confront the truth of his existence. The angst-ridden narrative sees him acknowledging his family as his rock and stepping up to his responsibilities. His trials and tribulations lead him to a revelation, offering him a chance to reconstruct his life from the ground up. In losing everything, David discovers the opportunity for a fresh start, a chance to redefine his life amidst the ruins.
