Plot

As the vibrant city of San Juan revels in the festivities of San Sebastian's Feast, the sobering undertones of a grim investigation are at play. Victor Benezet, a recently divorced and world-weary police captain, invites Henry Hearst, a prominent attorney, to clarify discrepancies in his account of discovering a murdered twelve-year-old girl's body - a chilling second in a fortnight. What was supposed to be a simple ten-minute clarification becomes an unending, intricate web of mysteries that stretch the attorney's absence from his duties longer than anticipated. Promising only a brief detour from his speech, Hearst finds himself ensnared in an escalating interrogation where his unconvincing answers and circumstantial evidence begin to paint him as a person of interest. As the questions intensify, the interrogation strips away at the fabric of Hearst's public persona. His dignity, his toupee, and even his seemingly perfect relationship with his stunning, much younger wife are all laid bare, revealing a man with questionable sexual preferences and a damning hobby. Just as Hearst teeters on the brink of exposure, an unexpected twist ensues. His wife, previously seen as a mere accessory to his life, steps into the spotlight, volunteering information that could potentially validate the police's mounting suspicion. The question remains: is Hearst on the verge of breaking? Or is there more to this sordid tale than meets the eye? Under Suspicion invites viewers into a mesmerizing maze of suspicion, secrets and deceit, where the line between innocence and guilt blurs, and nothing is as it seems.
