Plot

In the heart of an athletic rivalry, Martin Granville Jr. (Bruce Bennett), a track-and-field star, finds his loyalties shifting. Initially set on enrolling at Claxton College, he is swayed by the charm of Pat Meredith (Jeanne Martel), a spirited co-ed from a competing college. Choosing love over rivalry, he changes his allegiance, unknowingly fulfilling the wish of his father, Martin Granville Sr. (Sam Flint), a proud alum of the same institution. However, the elder Granville has strictly forbidden his son from participating in football. Oblivious to his son's rebellious decision to join the football team, he pledges a substantial $100,000 endowment to his alma mater. But a storm brews on the horizon as he threatens to withdraw the generous offer if his son dares to set foot on the football field in the climactic Big Game against Claxton. Caught between his father's wishes, the allure of the game, and the enchantment of a blossoming romance, Martin Jr. finds himself in the middle of a gripping tale of familial bonds, collegiate rivalry, and the enduring spirit of youth.
