Turu, the Wacky Hen (2020)

In the quaint town of Villa Armonía resides Turuleca, a hen with a peculiar plight—she cannot lay eggs. Deviously traded by the cunning Sr. Cocoricó to the endearing Isabel, an aging woman known for her kindness, Turuleca finds herself in a new home. Isabel, a retired music teacher, attempts to coax eggs from Turuleca with the gentle strum of her guitar, only to discover a remarkable secret—Turuleca can comprehend human language. Under Isabel's tutelage, Turuleca becomes well-versed in both language and song, sharing her new life with the melodic cow Melodía, rhythmic sheep Ritmo, and the hog Compás. This idyllic existence shatters when Isabel suffers a fall, losing her memory and leaving Turuleca bereft. Determined to reunite with her beloved owner, Turuleca embarks on a journey that leads her to the vibrant Circus Daedalus, owned by the debt-ridden Antonio. Turu’s arrival at the circus coincides with a desperate time, as Antonio struggles against the ruthless businessman Armando Tramas, a disgraced former contortionist with a vengeful agenda. Antonio's son Matías and the fearless little Lucía, daughter of the trapeze artists, discover Turuleca's extraordinary ability to talk and persuade Antonio to showcase her as the circus's new star. Thrust into the spotlight, Turuleca becomes an overnight sensation, aiding Antonio in his fight against debt. However, her success draws the attention of the sinister Tramas and his bumbling strongman Rudy, who plot to exploit Turuleca for their malicious motives. As the Circus Daedalus rolls into the big city, Turuleca is torn between locating Isabel to restore her memory and helping Matías and Lucía save their cherished circus. Meanwhile, Tramas patiently waits in the shadows, eager to enact his master plan: to kidnap Turuleca, destroy Antonio's circus, and exact his long-awaited revenge.
