In the shadow of his guilt-ridden existence, Owen, a cynical web designer known for his biting sarcasm, navigates life alongside his girlfriend, Isabelle. Haunted by a horrifying past that torched his family home, killed his parents, and left his sister Pearl grotesquely deformed, Owen seeks solace in psychiatric help from Florence. However, the unexpected news of Isabelle's pregnancy compels them to confront Owen's estranged family — his callous grandmother Violet and the scarred Pearl.
