Plot

In the shadow of his guilt-ridden existence, Owen, a cynical web designer known for his biting sarcasm, navigates life alongside his girlfriend, Isabelle. Haunted by a horrifying past that torched his family home, killed his parents, and left his sister Pearl grotesquely deformed, Owen seeks solace in psychiatric help from Florence. However, the unexpected news of Isabelle's pregnancy compels them to confront Owen's estranged family — his callous grandmother Violet and the scarred Pearl. Despite Owen's cautionary tales of Violet's malevolent nature, they journey to his hometown, only to find themselves plunged into a chilling reality. Violet's despicable character unveils itself as they discover Beatrice, held captive in her grim abode. As Isabelle comes to realize the gruesome authenticity of Owen's warnings, they find themselves bound by circumstances to stay longer, a decision that proves to have tragic repercussions. In a chilling exploration of a past Owen has spent his entire adult life fleeing, both he and Isabelle find themselves ensnared in a terrifying labyrinth of deceit, lies, and murder. The specter of Owen's past and the ominous presence of Violet weave a horrifying tapestry that they must unravel or risk being consumed by the flames of their own Trash Fire.
