Plot

In the verdant valleys of Switzerland, three vivacious teenage sisters, Joan, Kay, and Penny Craig, share a harmonious life with their mother, Dorothy Craig. A decade has passed since their parents' divorce, yet the memory of their prosperous New York banker father, Judson Craig, remains a distant echo. As the girls observe their mother's lingering affection for their father, they hatch a daring plan inspired by love and nostalgia, with the clandestine assistance of their devoted housekeeper, Martha. Their father's imminent nuptials to the fetching yet cunning socialite, Donna Lyons, ignite their mission, propelling them across the Atlantic to the bustling metropolis of New York. Upon their arrival, Judson's vague recollections of his daughters do not deter them from their heartfelt endeavor. The girls fear their father's heart is at the mercy of Donna's gold-digging intentions. Thus, a complex dance of familial bonds and intrigue ensues, as Judson navigates the treacherous waters of rekindling his relationship with his daughters and keeping Donna appeased. As the sisters rally to protect their father, reinforcements emerge in the form of Bill Evans, Judson's trusted investment manager, and Binns, the faithful butler who has remained loyal to the family. Their shared belief that Donna's eyes sparkle only for dollar signs fuels the sisters' determination. However, Donna and her mother are not oblivious to the girls' maneuvers, marking the onset of a thrilling showdown. Amid this chaotic whirlwind, unexpected romances bloom. Joan and Kay find themselves entangled with Australian banker Lord Michael Stuart and the charmingly broke Hungarian Count Arisztid, respectively. These budding relationships, coupled with a series of misconceptions and hiccups, intensify the drama, adding an extra layer of complexity to their endeavors. The overpowering vivacity of the three smart girls sweeps through New York, threatening to unravel their schemes while offering an enchanting narrative of family, love, and resilience.
