Plot

Fresh out of prison after serving time for 14 bank heists, Daniel Lucas seeks to turn a new leaf. However, fate has other plans when he steps into a bank to open an account, only to find himself entangled in Ned Perry's desperate robbery attempt. Perry, a downtrodden father, takes Lucas hostage, thrusting him back into the world he was trying to escape. Detective Dugan, acquainted with Lucas's notorious past, jumps to conclusions, suspecting Lucas to be the mastermind behind the robbery. With the law breathing down his neck and a hostage situation spiralling out of control, Lucas has no choice but to engineer their escape, thus becoming an unwilling accomplice. Meanwhile, lingering in the background of this chaotic situation is Perry's 6-year-old daughter, Meg. Silent since her mother's demise, Meg is the driving force behind Perry's desperate act. Perry's love for his daughter prompts him to rob the bank in a bid to secure her much-needed psychiatric treatment and to raise enough funds to maintain custody. As the three of them find themselves on the run from the law, they form an unexpected bond, evolving into a makeshift family unit. Meg, who holds deep affection for her father, gradually warms up to Lucas, adding another layer of complexity to their predicament. "Three Fugitives" is a riveting tale of desperation, familial love, and redemption, where the hunted are not the villains they appear to be, but victims of circumstance trying to salvage what little they have left.
