Plot

Jake Cassevetes, a globally esteemed cameraman, returns from documenting the U.S. invasion of Iraq, his skepticism of media manipulation intact. Working for the major networks, Jake has always rejected the popular notion of a corporate-dominated press. However, his faith in the system is shaken when he discovers his most striking footage from Iraq has been suppressed by his employers. His next assignment plunges him into the heart of the Republican National Convention protests, where he crosses paths with Seven, a charismatic leader of the masked anarchist group, Black Bloc. Earning their trust, Jake is given a free pass to trail them as they navigate the tumultuous demonstration. Later, an unguarded moment with Seven, discussing the Bloc's radical ambitions, is inadvertently mixed with his other footage and sent back to the network. When Jake attempts to reclaim the tape, he uncovers a chilling alliance between the network and Homeland Security, who now scrutinize every frame for potential terror suspects. Caught in a crisis of conscience, Jake realizes the peril he has inadvertently exposed Seven and the Black Bloc to. He resolves to leverage his position and abilities to disrupt the government-backed corporate media, determined to bring the truth about the protests and the voice of a new activist generation to the public eye.
