Thillu Mullu (1981)

Ayyampettai Arivudainambi Kaliyaperumal Chandran, an easy-going graduate, lands a job thanks to his family doctor. His employer is the eccentric Sri Ramachandramurthy, a man with peculiar ideas about character, aesthetics, patriotism, and leisure. To appease his boss, Chandran morphs into an uninteresting, studious gentleman, cloaked in a Nehru jacket, with no passions beyond academia. However, his carefully crafted facade crumbles when he fabricates a tale about his late mother's accident to sneak away to a football match, only to be discovered by his boss reveling in the thrill of the game. Desperate to salvage his job, Chandran, on the suggestion of his actor friend Nagesh, sheds his moustache, conjuring up a wild, westernized twin, Ayyampettai Arivudainambi Kaliyaperumal Indran. This alter ego inadvertently becomes the music teacher to his boss's equally untamed daughter. As Chandran sinks deeper into his own web of deception, he must enlist a minor actress to play the role of his mother and deal with a cunning child who uncovers his charade and threatens to expose him. The ensuing chaos and complications form the heart of this hilarious tale.
