In the tumultuous landscape of juvenile delinquency, renowned Psychiatry Professor Peter Steinach (56) serves as an unconventional beacon of hope. Entrusted by the court, he provides intense alternative therapy to troubled teenage offenders, his latest charge being Alia, a girl fresh from four years in juvenile detention. Alia's past misdeeds, committed alongside her now estranged friend Nina, have left her with a fear that her younger brother, Noah Kolaj (12) - an adorable schoolboy with a passion for hip-hop dance - may tread on her destructive path under the wrong influences. Rejected by their late mother, the siblings face an uphill battle in life. Dr. Steinach, with his charismatic charm, slowly earns the reticent Alia's trust. He encourages her to chronicle her life and his therapeutic challenges via his video camera, fostering a dialogue for introspection. Steinach's methods, however, pull no punches, forcing Alia into a ruthless confrontation with herself. As she navigates this emotional maze, she discovers Dr. Steinach's clandestine filming of Noah, a move she perceives as a breach of trust, adding another layer of complexity to her therapeutic journey.
