The Unbroken (2012)

Following a tumultuous divorce that leaves her shattered and disoriented, Sarah Campbell finds herself starting from scratch in a less-than-ideal apartment complex peopled by colorful characters. But adapting to her new environment becomes the least of her worries as she begins to experience eerie phenomena; mirrors that reflect a ghostly child and dreams of her own violent death at the hands of a shadowy figure. Initially dismissing these unsettling occurrences as figments of an overactive imagination, Sarah's fear escalates as the apparition of the child becomes increasingly malevolent, orchestrating "accidents" that jeopardize her safety. In search of answers, Sarah consults a local psychic and paranormal expert who advises her to aid the restless spirit in accomplishing his unfinished business to allow his passage to the afterlife. With the help of her charismatic next-door neighbor, she makes a chilling discovery: her neighbor is the menacing figure from her nightmares, the murderer of the phantom child that haunts her. Armed with this revelation, Sarah and her friend Tommy embark on a perilous mission to expose the seemingly perfect Mr. Middlebrooks for what he truly is. The tale unfolds as they grapple with a reality more horrifying than Sarah's darkest nightmares.
