In the bustling heart of Bagdad, the youthful and unsuspecting Sultan Ahmad finds himself intrigued by the day-to-day lives of his subjects. Guided by the duplicitous Grand Vizier Jaffar, Ahmad traverses the city in disguise, only to find himself entrapped by Jaffar's deceit. The power-hungry Vizier announces Ahmad's untimely death, usurps the throne, and casts the rightful king into the shadowy depths of the dungeon. In this grim place, Ahmad forms an unlikely alliance with Abu, the city's most skilled thief, who aids in their daring escape.
