Plot

In the hushed stillness of a small town, when a man fails to return home one evening, his daughter, Carol Flynn, and her boyfriend, Mike Simpson, embark on a nocturnal quest to find him. Their search leads them to a desolate pickup truck and a series of shadowy caves where they stumble upon a colossal, monstrous spider, weaving webs of terror in the dim cavernous gloom. Together with their astute high school chemistry teacher, Art Klingman, they manage to convince the skeptical local police to explore the eerie caves. Armed with DDT, they flush the enormous arachnid from its lair, and, presuming the beast deceased, haul its carcass to the town's high school gymnasium for storage. However, the tranquillity of the town shatters when the rhythm of a teenage garage band's music inadvertently reanimates the seemingly lifeless creature. The cacophonous rock music breathes a sinister life into the monstrous spider, sending it on a rampaging spree through the frightened community. Meanwhile, unaware of the spider's resurrection, Carol and Mike venture back into the spider's lair, seeking a sentimental birthday gift purchased by Carol's father. As the police, oblivious to their presence in the cave, prepare to detonate the entrance, the town holds its breath, caught in a web of suspense. The pulse of the plot thrums with danger and uncertainty, promising viewers a thrilling ride through the chaos of a town under siege from a gigantic, music-infused spider.
