The Soldier (1982)

In the chilling throes of the Cold War, a Russian faction snatches a nuclear device, issuing a bleak ultimatum: they will contaminate half the world's oil reserves unless Israel retreats from the West Bank. An oil field conceals the device, its destructive potential threatening to tip the global balance. With the Israelis unbending and the Americans desperate to prevent catastrophe, the President turns to the CIA for an unconventional solution. The unorthodox agent known only as the Soldier is given the task. Working outside standard protocol, he plunges into the shadowy maze of international espionage, seeking to confirm the Russian involvement. But the Russians have already marked him for elimination, transforming his mission into a dangerous game of survival. A lethal bomb destroys the office of his only ally, the CIA Director, leaving the Soldier to navigate this deadly chessboard alone. His only resources are his wits, his specialized team, and the reluctant assistance of the Israelis. As the clock ticks down, the Soldier must outmaneuver the Russians, prevent a nuclear disaster, and untangle a web of intrigue that spreads across geopolitical borders.
