Plot
In the blood-soaked Balkans of 1996, the screams of a small village are abruptly silenced as Goran, a merciless militia commander, and his men lay waste to its inhabitants. The young and innocent Angel, a deaf orphan marked by a peculiar birthmark on her face, bears witness to the execution of her own mother. Abducted and delivered into the cruel clutches of the heartless Viktor, she is condemned to servitude in a brutal brothel hidden within the woods, a grim testament to the horrors of the Yugoslav Wars.
In this grotesque world, Angel is consigned to a life of domestic drudgery, responsible for the care of the young girls who are routinely subjected to the brutal desires of Viktor's clientele. Her duties are as grim as the setting - drugging the girls to ensure their compliance, then cleaning up their broken bodies once the men have had their fill. Yet, in the silence of the night, Angel ventures unseen through the walls and ventilation shafts, her only respite from the daily horrors of the house.
Amidst the brutality, Angel finds an unexpected companion in Vanya, a fellow captive who communicates with her using the language of the deaf. Their bond, however, is shattered in an act of unspeakable violence when one of Goran's men rapes and kills Vanya. Enraged and seeking vengeance for her friend, Angel strikes back, killing Vanya's assailant.
With the bloody deed done, a savage hunt commences within the confines of this nightmarish purgatory. Goran and his men, thirsty for retribution, scour the house in pursuit of Angel. Trapped within the walls of her hellish prison, Angel must face the very demons who slaughtered her family and stole her freedom. The chase is on, but the question lingers - will Angel find a way to escape this living nightmare, or fall prey to the same fate as her friend? Who, in this gruesome game of survival, will live, and who will die?
