The Road Within (2014)

In the heartrending journey of The Road Within, we meet Vincent, a young man trapped in the tumultuous tides of Tourette Syndrome. In the aftermath of his mother's death, Vincent's distant father, Robert, re-enters his life. As he's entangled in the race for political power, Robert decides to hide his son away, fearing that Vincent's condition might tarnish his public image. And so, Vincent finds himself in the care of Dr. Mia Rose, a maverick physician, in an unconventional clinic. Here, he crosses paths with Marie, a woman wrestling with anorexia, and an unexpected love blossoms between them. Seizing a daring opportunity, they steal Dr. Rose's car for an impromptu escape, inadvertently kidnapping their fastidious and OCD-afflicted roommate, Alex, who threatens to expose their plan. With Robert and Dr. Rose hot on their trail, the unlikely trio embarks on a transformative road trip. Their destination? The ocean, where Vincent hopes to set his mother's ashes free. Through their shared tribulations and triumphs, Vincent, Marie, and Alex discover a sense of belonging, love, and the power of self-acceptance on this unforgettable journey.
