Plot

In the bustling world of mixology, Steve is a hardened barkeep who finds his life taking a dramatic turn when he encounters Edwin J. Bennett, affectionately dubbed 'the Professor'. The Professor sees potential in Steve's brawn and begins to mold him into a formidable prizefighter. Their training takes a thrilling detour when Steve narrowly escapes death by a racing car that barrels into a ditch. The car's occupants - the enchantingly beautiful Belle Mercer and her driver - are saved by Steve, igniting a smoldering attraction between Belle and him. However, Belle is the arm candy of Willie Ryan, setting the stage for a tempestuous love triangle. The boxing ring proves easier to conquer than the human heart, as Steve breezily sails through fight after fight. Fate plays its hand when Steve once again crosses paths with Belle and Willie, and a whirlwind of events ensues. Igniting the flame of controversy, Steve and Belle elope and return as a married couple, leaving Willie nursing a bruised ego. As Steve embarks on an unbroken winning streak - 19 victories and counting - it's not just the taste of success that intoxicates him. His wandering eyes are drawn to the throngs of women and his ego swells with each applause. Straddling the worlds of love and boxing, Steve finds himself in the fight of his life, where the stakes are much higher than just a title belt.
